Many people use cell phones that use an element called coltan to make tantalum, one of the materials used in cell phones. This is mined in the rain forests of the Congo. Gorillas live in these rain forests. Mining is decreasing their population. Tantalum can be recycled. The Eco Cell program recycles old cell phones to make new ones. If you want to donate your old cell phones go to http://www.eco-cell.com/ If you have any questions please comment and I will try to get back to you soon as I can.
